Dual Side Click Pen
It's CNC machined out of solid metals, with minimal looking and great features. My subjective experience with this pen has been disappointing. To make things short, this pen has leaked in my pocket three times with g2 refill inside. I NEVER experienced the pen tip being so exposed when retracted into the barrel that it made contact with the fabric in my pockets and leaked. With this pen it has happened 3 times! Each time it happened I felt embarrassed and adjusted the mechanism to raise the refill inside the pen.

This website is our USA website, we ship domestically within the US only. If you need to ship your order internationally, please to go to our International website. If you need a full size Bolt Action Pen, check out it's big brother the Bolt Action Pens. The only thing I would change with the pen is the refill. I prefer the 9000 from Schmidt or Signo, JetStream, G2, Itoya and some others. Within two weeks of use, the click mechanism was dysfunctional.

LIFETIME WARRANTY on
This creates a fully customizable pen that ticks all the boxes. I got the pocket pro pen in black and I love it. The size is perfect for EDC, it fits my hand perfectly, and the fit and finish is amazing. I also have the stonewashed bolt action pen which I love also. I’ve had Kaweco Al Sports, a Schon Pocket 6 (early model with Bock nib), and a Spoke Design Axle S. Of them all, this one checks the boxes the most.

I've been using the slim bolt pen in titanium for several months now with no major issues. The pen is a bit too long for an average shirt pocket to fully clip onto, but is still able to be used that way. The ability to disassemble and maintain the pen is a great selling point too, and gives me peace of mind to just clip the pen on my jeans pocket since I can bend the clip back if it becomes sprung. I do wish the pen came with a little bit of silicone grease to even further help us maintain the pen though. The fact it has a lifetime warranty is reassuring & these guys really go out of their way to look after their clients. The bolt action is very smooth, it writes well, looks classy, feels good in the hand & is quickly becoming my favourite EDC pen.
Slim Bolt Action Pen

The body of the Ti Pocket Pro seamlessly telescopes in length to accommodate different sized refills, while the auto-adjusting collet grip ensures a wiggle-free fit at the writing tip. Operation is as simple as unscrewing the body, popping in your favorite Parker or Rollerball style refill, and tightening it up. The only design issue with this pen is when the clip is adjusted to be on the right side of the bolt. When the bolt is engaged with this clip configuration, the clip gets in the way (still accessible, just not as convenient) of pushing the bolt back up to retract it. For people who want the clip on the right of the bolt, this may be a problem. With the clip on the right of the bolt, it gets in the way of that.
Make sure you’re ordering from the proper channel, though. I’m based in the US and accidentally ordered from the international department, which increased shipping time significantly. We're big fans of a lifetime warranty when buying premium items, so every pen comes with that as well.

The size capped and unposted is similar to a Kaweco Sport, the size posted is similar to a Lamy 2000 posted. The capping mechanism is secure and the use of an o-ring means I can fix it if it ever wears out. So far, no burping when uncapping the pen. The excellent clip is held in by a flathead bolt, meaning no special tools needed if that ever needs adjustment. For me, the ergonomics are perfect, and it looks great.
Recently bought the normal size of Dual Side Click Pen and well, I was a little disappointed. I also noticed that the refill inside the pen is misaligned, it is possible to see on the tip of the pen that the refill is not aligned as it should be. Well, in my opinion, these are small details that escape the standard of quality, and for the price they practice, as a premium items, these defects should not exist. I hope Big Idea Design is not losing quality in their articles. The side click pens auto-adjust both in length and tip size to create a fully custom pen that ticks all the boxes on your list.
The dual click release section was fully loose and drifted to one side, almost fully out of its housing. When it's temporarily out of stock in our US warehouse, you can click the button below to order from our international warehouse. This website is our International website, we ship to Non USA countries only.

I was already a fan of the larger bolt action pens as own a slim stonewashed Big I design pen which is one of my favourites. Love that these pens include the Damascus bolt as well...that was what sold me in the first instance. A high quality, CNC machined EDC pen can look great yet the magic of how well it writes is in the ink cartridges. Which led us to design the most refill friendly bolt action pen, ever.
Though I will note that I haven’t observed many others with this same issue. However it sucks that I cannot confidently carry this pen in my pocket anymore as I did for years with other pens that cost significantly less. Had I known this would have been an issue I would have purchased a capped version and avoided the bolt, as pocket carry is very important for me. There are way too many to list on the page so feel free to check out our google doc to see all the refill options you can use with these pens. The pen is well balanced, feels great in the hand and has the cool and functional retracting function.
